How to take Andrews Salts Original:
Follow the instructions given in the table.
| Age | Symptoms | Dose |
| For Adults | Upset Stomach, Indigestion, and over-indulgence | Take one 5ml spoonful into a glass of water as and when required, maximum dose of 4 times a day. |
| Constipation | Take two 5ml spoonfuls into a glass of water before breakfast or at bedtime, a maximum dose of 4 times a day. | |
| For Children over 3 years of age: | Upset Stomach, Indigestion, and over-indulgence | Take half 5ml spoonful into a glass of water as and when required, maximum dose of 4 times a day. |
| For Constipation | Take one 5ml spoonful into a glass of water before breakfast or at bedtime, a maximum dose of 4 times a day. |
If you take too much, you may get diarrhoea.
If this happens, reduce the dose and the effect should go away.
Andrews Salts Original contains:
Sodium bicarbonate 22.6 %w/w, Magnesium sulphate 17.4 %w/w, Citric acid (anhydrous) 19.5 %w/w. It also contains 2.1g of sucrose per 5 ml spoonful.
