Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream contains the active ingredient mepyramine maleate, which is an antihistamine that helps to reduce pain, itching, and inflammation caused by insect stings, bites, and nettle rash. It works by blocking the effects of histamine, a natural substance that your body produces in response to an allergic reaction.
Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream is suitable for adults and children over the age of 2 years. Before using Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream, clean the affected area and apply a small amount of cream to the affected skin. Gently rub the cream into the skin until it is fully absorbed. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the cream. You can apply the cream up to three times a day, but do not use it for more than three days without consulting a doctor. If your symptoms persist or worsen after three days, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream if you are allergic to mepyramine maleate or any of the other ingredients in the cream. Before using the cream, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any other medical conditions.
Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream may cause side effects such as skin irritation, redness, or rash. If you experience any of these side effects, stop using the cream and consult your doctor or pharmacist. Keep Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream out of reach of children and store it in a cool, dry place.
Directions for use
Adults, Elderly and Children over 2 years of age
The recommended dose is two or three times a day for up to three days:
- Apply the cream directly to the affected areas of skin
- Do not apply the cream on eczema, larger areas of skin, cut, grazed, badly broken or sunburnt skin
- For best results use as soon as possible after the bite or sting
- Repeated use of the cream for periods longer than a few days is not recommended
- If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3 days talk to your doctor or pharmacist If you feel the effect of your medicine is too weak or too strong, do not change the dose yourself, but ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Mepyramine maleate 2% w/w, ceto-stearyl alcohol, polyethylene, glycol 600 monostearate, castor oil, methyldroxybenzoate, foin coupe (Iragance), silicon antifoam, purified water.
