Only use this product if you have been previously diagnosed by your doctor as having vaginal thrush. The active substance in Canesten Thrush Combi Internal &
External Creams is clotrimazole. Clotrimazole belongs to a group of medicines called azoles and is an antifungal agent which fights the cause of infections such as vaginal thrush.

5g of internal cream contains Clotrimazole 500mg (10% w/w). It also contains benzyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, cetyl palmitate, ispopropyl myristate and purified water. The 10g of tube cream contains Cltrimazole 200mg (2% w/w). It also contains sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol, benzyl alcohol and purfied water.
Warnings and precautions
- Do not use the creams, and see your doctor as soon as possible if:
- You are pregnant or trying to become pregnant
- You or your partner has previously had a sexually transmitted disease
- You have had more than two episodes of vaginal thrush in the last 6 months.
Do not use if you have any of the following symptoms:
- Ulcers, blisters or sores of the vagina or vulva.
- Irregular or abnormal vaginal bleeding or a blood- stained discharge.
- A foul smelling discharge from the vagina.
- Redness, irritation or swelling associated from treatment.
- Fever or chills
- Lower abdominal pain

Private prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery, free of charge (all private prescription items have a minimum order value of £5.00). NHS prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery.
