How to use Permethrin Cream?

Begin by applying the cream onto clean, dry, and cool skin. Prior to using this treatment, it’s important to avoid taking a hot shower or bath. Gently rub the cream onto your skin until it becomes invisible, ensuring to focus on areas such as the spaces between your fingers and toes, the undersides of your nails, your wrists, underarms, external genitalia, breasts, and buttocks. Ensure ample coverage by using an appropriate amount of cream, as outlined below:

• For adults and individuals aged 12 and over: A single 30g tube should suffice to cover the entire body, excluding the head and face. In some instances, an additional tube may be required, but the usage should not exceed two tubes concurrently.
• For seniors (65 years and older): Use the same quantity as adults, extending coverage to include the neck, face, ears, and scalp. Avoid application near the eyes.
• For children aged 6 to 12: Half of a 15g tube should be adequate to cover the body, excluding the head and face.
• For children aged 2 to 5: Utilize a quarter of a 7.5g tube to cover the body, excluding the face and head.
• For children aged 1 to 2: Apply a quarter of a 7.5g tube, covering the neck, face, ears, and scalp. Take care to avoid applying near the eyes and mouth, where accidental ingestion might occur.
• For infants aged 2 months to 1 year: A maximum of an eighth of a 3.75g tube is recommended to cover the body, including the neck, face, ears, and scalp. Be cautious to prevent application near the eyes and mouth due to potential ingestion.

Allow the cream to remain on your skin for a minimum of 8 hours before washing it off with soap and water within 12 hours of application. If you wash your hands within the initial 8-hour period, make sure to reapply the Permethrin to your hands.
