What Metatone is and What it is used for?

Metatone is a tonic containing vitamins and minerals used to help restore health and vitality after illness. It is used to get relief from cold & flu, or when you are feeling tired run down.

Can I take Metatone Liquid if I am Pregnant or Breastfeeding?

If you’re pregnant or breast-feeding please talk to your doctor before taking Metatone.

Before you take or give Metatone?

Do not use this medicine:

  • If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients of Metatone.
  • for a child who is less than 6 years old.

How to take Metatone?

  1. Adults, Children over 12 years and Elderly people: 
    1. Take before meals.
    2. One or Two 5 ml spoonful two or three times a day.
    3. Do not take more than 30 ml Metatone each day.
  2. Children over 6 years old:
    1. Take before meals.
    2. One 5ml spoonful two or three times a day.
    3. Do not take more than 15 ml Metatone each day.
  3. Do not give to children under 6 years, except on the advice of your doctor.
  4. Dilute if required, When Diluted with water use within 14 days.

What are the Ingredients of Metatone liquid?

Metatone is a clear red liquid in a 300 or 500 ml bottle.

  1. The Active Substances are:
    1. Each 5ml dose contains thiamine hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) 750 micrograms
    2. Calcium Glycerophosphate 45.6 mg
    3. Potassium Glycerophosphate 45.6 mg
    4. Sodium Glycerophosphate 22.8 mg
    5. Manganese Glycerophosphate  NFX 697 mg.
  2. Other Ingredients are:
    1. Sucrose
    2. Phosphoric acid
    3. Glucose Syrup
    4. Sodium Citrate
    5. Ethanol
    6. Clove Oil
    7. Orange Oil
    8. Caramel

Possible Side Effects:

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects , although not everybody gets them. Stop taking the medicine and tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

  1. Difficulty swallowing or breathing.
  2. Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.
  3. Skin rash.
