Otrivine Adult nasal Spray is an effective decongestant which acts gently to clear a blocked nose within minutes and relieve excessive nasal secretions. Otrivine Child Nasal Drops contain the active ingredient xylometazoline hydrochloride that helps to open up and clear nasal passages by reducing nasal mucus and returning swollen blood vessels to their normal size.

Ingredients:

Otrivine Child Nasal Drops contains:
Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.05 %w/v

Side effects 

Like all medicines, Otrivine child nasal drops can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Stop using Otrivine child nasal drops and seek medical help immediately if you experience:

  • Allergic reactions which may include difficulty breathing or swallowing.
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.

Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):

  • Dryness or irritation of the nasal mucosa
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Local burning sensation

Warnings and precautions 

  • Otrivine has no effect on the ability to drive and use machines.
  • Do not use the drops if your child:
  • Is under 6 years old.
  • Is allergic to xylometazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients in the drops.

Private prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery, free of charge (all private prescription items have a minimum order value of £5.00). NHS prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery.
Normal delivery charges will apply for non-prescription items in the same basket.
