Panadol Advance is a paracetamol formulation that contains Optizorb technology TM. Panadol Advance with Optizorb disperses up to five times faster than standard paracetamol tablets.
Panadol are suitable for relief of these symptoms:
- Headache
- Backache
- Sore Throat
- Rheumatic Pain
- Muscle Pain
- Pain due to non-serious arthritis
- The fever, aches and pains of colds and flu
- Toothache
- Period Pain
Ask your doctor before you take this medicine:
- if you suffer from mild arthritis and need to take painkillers every day.
- if you have liver or kidney problems
- if you are underweight or malnourished
- if you regularly drink alcohol
- if you have a severe infection as this may increase the risk of metabolic acidosis.
Signs of metabolic acidosis include:
-deep, rapid, difficult breathing
-feeling sick (nausea), being sick (vomiting)
-loss of appetite
Active ingredient: Each tablet contains Paracetamol 500 mg.
Other ingredients: Pregelatinised starch, calcium carbonate, alginic acid, crospovidone, povidone, magnesium stearate and colloidal anhydrous silica.
The tablet coating contains opadry white and carnauba wax.
Packs of Panadol Advance 500 mg Tablets contain 16 or 30 tablets.
Possible side effects whilst taking Panadol Tablets:
- Allergic reactions which may be severe such as skin rash and itching sometimes with swelling of the mouth or face or shortness of breath
- Skin rash or peeling, or mouth ulcers
- Breathing problems. These are more likely if you have experienced them before when taking other painkillers such as ibuprofen and aspirin
- Unexplained bruising or bleeding
- Nausea, sudden weight loss, loss of appetite and yellowing of the eyes and skin.

Private prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery, free of charge (all private prescription items have a minimum order value of £5.00). NHS prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery.
Normal delivery charges will apply for non-prescription items in the same basket.
