What is Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment and how does it work?

Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment is an easy to apply and breathable barrier cream that helps keep little bottoms happy and protected from the causes of nappy rash.

Young baby skin is very reactive and sensitive; it needs a gentle product to care for and protect it. Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment is so gentle that it can be used at every nappy change to help the most delicate skin, as it’s free from fragrance, preservatives, colorants or antiseptics.

Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment works in two ways to care for baby’s skin and protect it from the causes of nappy rash:

  • Aids Natural Skin RecoveryBepanthen contains Pro Vitamin B5 which gently aids natural recovery of sensitive skin while keeping it soft, smooth and moisturised. Bepanthen also works by helping to seal in the skin’s natural moisture, providing optimal conditions to allow gentle skin recovery without drying out your baby’s delicate skin.
  • ProtectsClinically proven, Bepanthen works by forming a transparent layer protecting even the most delicate skin from irritants and rubbing. The water-in-oil formulation keeps the skin healthy and hydrated, which is essential to maintain its natural protective barrier.

Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment contains: As active substance dexpanthenol, the alcohol corresponding to pantothenic acid.
The ointment contains 50 mg/g dexpanthenol.

Other ingredients: Purified water, Lanolin, Liquid Paraffin, White soft Paraffin, Protegin X, Almond Oil,Beeswax, Cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol.

Warnings relating to Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment:

Most nappy rash will clear up quickly with your care, a good cleaning routine and a little help from Bepanthen. If the skin is still sore there may be an infection, which needs treatment from your doctor, so make an appointment if:

  • The rash is spreading outside the nappy area or the skin is broken and weeping.
  • Your baby is feverish and unwell.
  • The nappy rash hasn’t responded to your treatment within a few days.
  • Store Bepanthen in a dry place at a temperature below 25°c. Do not use after the expiry date which is shown on both the packaging and the tube.
