Bonjela Teething Gel – 15ml is a fast acting gel that creates a protective film on your baby’s gums to help relieve pain, discomfort and inflammation caused by teething.

What is Teething and its main causes?
A baby’s first teeth (known as milk or deciduous teeth) will usually develop while the child is still growing in the womb. In most babies, the first tooth then starts to emerge through the gums when they are around six months old, although it can be earlier or later than this. This process is what’s known as teething. The bottom incisors (front teeth), are usually the first to come through and these are followed by the top front incisors. The rest of the teeth break through, in turn, over the next 20-30 months.

The active substances (which make the medicine work) are lidocaine hydrochloride 0.5 % w/w and cetylpyridinium chloride 0.025% w/w. The other ingredients are ethanol (alcohol), glycerol, fragrance containing allergens (Eugenol) in banana flavour, sodium saccharin, carbomer, triethanolamine and water.
Like all medicines, bonjela Junior gel can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them
Stop taking this product and contact your doctor if you experience the following side effects:
- Bluish colouring of the skin, shortness of breath,headache, lack of energy
- Skin rash, itchy or irritated skin
