Aqueous calamine cream is used for the relief of symptoms of mild sunburn and other minor skin conditions.

Ingredients
Active ingredients: Calamine 4% w/w, Zinc oxide 3% w/w.
Also contains: Liquid paraffin, glyceryl Monostearate (E471), Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether 22, Cetostearyl alcohol, phenoxyethanol and purified water.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
If you get these side effects stop using the cream and see a doctor:
- Allergic/ irritant reaction (e.g. skin rash, red or itchy skin).
If you notice any side effects, stop use and tell your doctor or pharmacist. They will tell you what to do.
Warnings and precautions
- Do not smoke or go near naked flames- risk of severe burns. Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard.
- Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- This medicine contains cetostearyl alcohol which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. dermatitis).

Private prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery, free of charge (all private prescription items have a minimum order value of £5.00). NHS prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery.
