Eurax Cream has an ingredient called crotamiton that can quickly soothe itchiness and irritation on your skin for about 6 to 10 hours after you put it on. You can use it when your skin is itchy and bothered, maybe from things like sunburn, dry eczema, itchy dermatitis, allergic rashes, hives, nettle rash, chickenpox, insect bites, stings, heat rashes, and when you’re just feeling itchy. Eurax Cream is also used to help treat scabies.

Crotamiton BP 10% w/w, Methyl hydroxybenzoate, Phenylethyl alcohol, Glycerol, Triethanolamine, Sodium Lauryl sulphate, Ethylene Glycol Monostearate, Stearyl alcohol, Strong ammonia solution, Stearic acid, White beeswax, perfume and hard paraffin.
Side effects
Eurax cream may cause difficulty in breathing or swallowing; swelling of the face, tongue, lips, throat; severe itching of the skin with a red rash or raised bumps.
Warnings and precautions
- Eurax cream is not recommended in pregnancy.
- Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Eurax cream if you are breastfeeding or suffering from genital itching.
- This medicine contains stearyl alcohol, Methyl hydroxybenzoate which may cause allergic reactions/ skin reactions e.g. contact dermatitis (possibly delayed) and perfume (including potential allergens benzyl alcohol (0.0187%), benzyl benzoate (0.0047%), citral, citronellol, Coumarin, d- limonene, eugenol, geranoil, Linalool) which may cause allergic reactions.
