Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream has undergone rigorous clinical testing to ensure that it arms your skin against inflammatory reactions. Skin is left calmed and relived. Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream is suitable for children and adults over 10 years. It treats itchy skin, irritated or inflamed red skin, irritated skin caused by insect bites, mild to moderate eczema, contact or allergic dermatitis and dry skin.
An allergy or irritation brought on by the immune system’s production of histamine typically results in skin inflammation. Histamine widens blood vessels, which causes the skin to become irritated, unpleasant, itchy, and red. The active ingredient hydrocortisone works inside the skin cells after being applied to the skin to reduce histamine release. This reduces irritation, redness and swelling.

Also contains:Â White soft paraffin, Cetomacrogol Emulsifying wax, liquid paraffin, phenoxyethanol, purified water.
Side effectsÂ
In most cases, when Hc45 is used correctly no side effects will be experienced. However, incorrect or excessive usage of it may have the following side effects:
- Thin the skin to make it more vulnerable to harm.
- Allow the active substance to penetrate the skin and affect other body areas, which may result in further unwanted effects.
- Rarely, there have been reports of skin colour changes or an increase in hair growth in locations where the cream has been used.
- Stop using the product and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any concerns about these side effects or any other impact the product may be having on you.
Caution before using Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream:
- Do not use on eyes or face, anal or genital areas, or on broken or infected skin; e.g. impetigo, cold sores, acne or athletes foot.
- Do not use if pregnant, or on children under 10 without medical advice.
- If the condition does not improve after the recommended seven day time period, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
- You should carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use.

Private prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery, free of charge (all private prescription items have a minimum order value of £5.00). NHS prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery.
