Gaviscon Advance Mint Chewable Tablets provide relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn and acid indigestion, which for example, can occur after meals or during pregnancy. They belong to a group of medicines called ‘reflux suppressants’, which form a protective layer on top of the stomach contents to prevent stomach acid escaping from the stomach where it works into the food pipe where it hurts.
How do Gaviscon Advance Mint Chewable Tablets work?
Gaviscon Advance forms a raft over the stomach contents which helps prevent acid coming back up into the oesophagus (food pipe).
Each Gaviscon Advance Mint Chewable Tablets contains:
500mg sodium alginate, 100mg potassium bicarbonate.
Caution before taking Gaviscon Advance Mint Chewable Tablets:
- Care should be taken when treating patients with hypercalcaemia, nephrocalcinosis and recurrent calcium containing renal calculi.
- Contains aspartame so should not be used in phenylketonuria.
- There is a possibility of reduced efficacy in patients with very low levels of gastric acid.
- Review if symptoms do not improve within 7 days.
- Treatment of children under 12 years of age is not recommended, except on medical advice.

Standard Delivery

For orders being delivered outside mainland UK, this will be longer and we cannot give a guaranteed delivery time due to the differences between carriers. Delivery timescales are estimates only. If you do not receive your order within 14 days of us confirming your order has been sent you must notify us and we will investigate the non-delivery provided.
Next Day Delivery
£5.99 – Next working day (excluding Saturdays & Sundays) on orders placed before 4pm. Orders placed after 4pm will be delivered on the 2nd working day after the order is placed.
Prescriptions
Private prescription medicines are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery free of charge (all private prescription items have a minimum order value of £5.00).
NHS prescription medicines are sent by Royal Mail Signed
Normal delivery charges will apply for non-prescription items in the same basket.
Returns
If you’re not completely satisfied with your order, you can return it within 28 days. We cannot accept the return of prescription medicines.
