What is Max Strength Cold & Flu Relief Lemon Sachets?
The Max Strength Cold & Flu Relief Lemon Sachets contains paracetamol that gives reliefs from headaches, aches and pains, sore throat, blocked nose and fever. It is a non-drowsy sachet and contains a decongestant Phenylephrine. Phenylephrine helps to reduce swelling in the passages of the nose to helps to breathe more easily.
What you need to know before taking this medicine?
Cold & Flu Relief Sachets should not be given to children under 16 years of age. If you are allergic to paracetamol, phenylephrine then you must not take sachets. If you are suffering from any of the following conditions:
- Heart Conditions
- High Blood Pressure
- Depression
- Enlarged Prostate
- Rare Tumor
- Liver Problems
- Kidney Problems
- Diabetes Mellitus
Can I take this medicine with If I am Pregnant or Breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant or Breast-feeding, or think you may be Pregnant or Breastfeeding or are planning to have a baby, you should not use this sachets. How to take this medicine?
Pour the contents of 1 sachet into a standard mug. Fill the mug to below the brim with 250ml of hot, but not boiling water. Stir until dissolved, and allow to cool to a drinkable temperature.
Dose for Adults, the elderly and children 16 years and over: Take 1 sachet every 4 to 6 hours as required. Do not take more than 4 sachets (4 doses) in any 24 hour period. Leave at least 4 to 6 hours between doses. Do not take more than 3 days, unless doctor agrees.
What does this medicine contains?
The active ingredients are paracetamol and phenylephrine hydrochloride. Each 5g sachet contains paracetamol 1000 mg and phenylephrine 12.2 mg. The other ingredients are: sucrose, citric acid, natural lemon flavours, sodium citrate, Vitamin C and Potassium.
What are the Possible Side Effects of this medicine ?
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If you experience any of the following side effects, or anything else unusual happens, stop taking the medicine immediately and see your doctor or pharmacist:
- Serious skin reactions
- Allergic reactions (skin rashes)
- Stomach disorder
- Difficulty in passing urine.
- Blood disorders.
