What is NovoPen Echo® Plus Red?

This pen automatically logs the insulin dose, including the date and time, directly to your phone. You and your healthcare team can access this information anytime, whether you’re together or far apart.

The Novopen helps in creating a precise treatment plan by providing accurate dosing information. It can:

  1. Keep a record of insulin doses.
  2. Display how insulin doses affect your glucose levels, combining data from your glucose monitoring device in one app.
  3. Connect with diabetes apps like Freestyle LibreLink, Dexcom, Glooko, and mySugr.
  4. Assist in making personalized treatment decisions using the precise data from Novopen Echo.

How do you transfer data from Novopen to a smartphone?

If you’re using the Freestyle LibreLink app, transferring insulin data from your pen to the app is easy. Just open the app, choose ‘Insulin pens,’ click ‘get started,’ and follow the instructions. If you have an Android, place the pen against the back of the phone to transfer data. For iPhone users, press the scan button, then place the pen against the top of the phone. You’ll get an alert and vibration when the transfer is successful.

Can I return my Novopen?

Novopens cannot be returned to us once the packaging has been opened. We do not accept returns of this product because it is a medical item which cannot be resold or used by another patient.

How to Store the NovoPen?

Keep the pen in temperatures from 5°C to 40°C when there’s no cartridge inside. Store it where children can’t see or reach it. Don’t use it after the expiration date, which is the last day of the month on the package. Dispose of any leftover medicine properly, not in wastewater or household waste.

How to use Novopen 6?

  • Always check the manufacturer’s instructions for using the insulin pen.
  • Follow these 9 steps to prepare and use the connected insulin pen.
  • Remove the cartridge holder by taking off the pen cap and twisting off the cartridge holder. If the piston rod sticks out, push it in until it stops.
  • Insert a new insulin cartridge into the cartridge holder with the threaded end first and twist the cartridge holder back on.
  • Attach a new needle by tearing off the paper tab and pushing the needle onto the pen. Turn until it is tight and remove both needle caps, saving the outer one.
  • Always test the insulin flow by selecting 2 units, pressing the dose button until the counter shows 0. The test is complete when you see insulin squirt without a gap between the piston rod head and the piston.
  • Select your dose, pull out the dose button, make sure the counter shows 0, and turn the dose button to select your needed dose.
  • Inject your dose by inserting the needle, pressing the dose button until the counter shows 0, and counting slowly to 6 before removing the needle. Safely dispose of the needle and put the pen cap back on.
  • To check your dose, pull out the dose button, ensure the counter shows 0, and push the dose button back in. The dose memory will display details of your last dose.
  • Read your dose memory.

Be cautious when using the Novopen 6 for injections. Only use it if you’ve been trained by your doctor or nurse. Don’t share your pen to prevent infections. Keep the pen with you, away from children. Test the insulin flow before each injection. If you drop the pen, check for damage, and carry a spare in case the first one gets damaged.
