What is Avoca Wart & Verruca Treatment?

Avoca Wart & Verruca Treatment is used for removing warts including verrucas and excess tissue that forms during the healing process of wounds. Avoca works by destroying tissue on the surface layers of warts and verrucas.

What are warts and verrucas?

Warts and verrucas are tiny, textured growths that typically manifest on the hands and feet but can emerge on any part of the body. These growths are attributed to the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and are highly prevalent and easily transmissible. While they may induce some discomfort, most individuals do not experience any noticeable symptoms. In many cases, warts and verrucas will naturally resolve without intervention. Nevertheless, employing a remedy like Avoca can expedite the healing process.

How does Avoca works?

Avoca is utilized to precisely administer silver nitrate to areas of the skin affected by warts and verrucas. Its mechanism involves chemical cauterization, effectively eliminating unwanted tissue. This unique process eradicates warts and verrucas, causing the affected skin to turn black, allowing easy removal using the provided emery board.

Directions for use

  1. Place a single drop of clean water on a non-absorbent surface such as a drinking glass or steel cup.
  2. Dip the Avoca applicator tip in the drop of water and gently move it around for 20 seconds to coat it with Avoca.
  3. Do not allow the water or tip to touch healthy skin, clothing, furniture, or other surfaces.
  4. Protect healthy skin around the area to be treated with a thin layer of petroleum jelly.
  5. Use the Avoca-coated tip to transfer the water to the area to be treated. Cover the entire area with the water, but do not rub or apply pressure to the tip.
  6. If the tip breaks, dispose of all the pieces in a paper tissue.
  7. Allow the treated area to dry before coming into contact with any other surface. It will be stained black after a short period of time.
  8. Use a paper tissue to dry the Avoca tip and the remains of the drop of water. Dispose of the tissue.
  9. Any surface touched by the water or wet tip may become stained black over time. Stains on skin will disappear after several days.
  10. After 24 hours, file away the black surface of the treated area with a coarse nail buffer or fine emery board.
  11. Repeat the Avoca treatment on any remaining wart/verruca.
