Otrivine Antistin Hayfever & Allergy Eye Drops

Otrivine Antistin eye drops provide effective and fast relief from the symptoms of hayfever and other allergies such as itchy, watery eyes. The active ingredient in the drops is a type of antihistamine which works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance produced by the body in response to an allergen. This helps to relieve the symptoms of hayfever and other allergies such as itchy, watery eyes. Otrivine Antistin eye drops are suitable for adults and children aged 3 years and over.

What you must need to know before using this product?

If you are using Otrivine Antistin Eye Drops for the first time, it is important that you read the patient information leaflet carefully before use. This will ensure that you are using the drops correctly and safely. Here is what you need to know before using Otrivine Antistin Eye Drops:

  • The drops are for use in the eyes only. Do not take them by mouth or apply them to any other part of your body.
  • To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the bottle to your eye or anything else. If you do, clean the bottle tip with a clean tissue before using the drops.
  • Before using the drops, wash your hands thoroughly.
  • Remove contact lenses before using Otrivine Antistin Eye Drops. You can reinsert your lenses after 15 minutes.
  • Put one drop of the solution into each eye four times a day, at regular intervals (every 6 to 8 hours). Tilt your head back and look up when putting in the drops. Gently press on the lower eyelid with your finger to keep the eye open while you put in a drop. This will stop the drop running out of your eye too quickly. Blink a few times so that the drop spreads over your eyeball. You can then close your eye if you like. Repeat this process for your other eye if both eyes need treating.
