What Voltarol Joint & Back Pain Relief 2.32% Gel is and what it is used for

Voltarol Joint & Back Pain Relief 2.32% Gel is a specially formulated medicine containing diclofenac, an active substance that belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is designed to be applied topically, directly onto the skin, to relieve pain and reduce inflammation and swelling in various painful conditions that affect the joints and muscles.

This gel is an effective solution for people suffering from painful conditions such as muscle and joint injuries, sprains, strains, bruises, backache, sports injuries, tendonitis (e.g. tennis elbow), swelling around the elbow or knee. By reducing inflammation and swelling, Voltarol Joint & Back Pain Relief 2.32% Gel helps relieve pain and supports recovery back to normal function.

It is important to note that this gel is intended for use in adults and children aged 14 years and older. However, it is recommended to speak to a healthcare professional before using this product, especially if you have any medical conditions or are taking any medication.

When using Voltarol Joint & Back Pain Relief 2.32% Gel, it is important to follow the instructions provided on the packaging. The gel should be applied topically to the affected area and gently massaged into the skin. It should not be applied to broken or irritated skin, or near the eyes or mouth. It is recommended to use the smallest amount of gel possible to control your symptoms. A thin layer of gel applied 2 to 4 times daily is typically sufficient for most individuals. You should wash your hands thoroughly after applying the gel to avoid accidental contact with your eyes or mouth.

It is also important to note that Voltarol Joint & Back Pain Relief 2.32% Gel contains diclofenac, an NSAID that can cause side effects. Some common side effects include skin irritation, rash, or redness at the site of application, itching, and dryness. If you experience any of these side effects or any other unusual symptoms, you should discontinue use and seek medical attention immediately.
