Zinc & Castor Oil Ointment contains zinc oxide which is a mild antiseptic and astringent for the skin in an emollient base which helps soften dry, hard and chapped skin.

What things you need to consider before buying this product?

Do not use the medicine if you or your child have :

  • An allergy to refined arachis oil (peanut oil), soya or any other ingredients listed.
  • You or your child having an x-ray, as this medicine may masks x-ray pictures.
  • It contains cetostearyl alcohol which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).

How to store this medicine ?

It is recommended to not to store this product above 25°C. Keep it out of the sight and reach of children.

 

How to use the medicine?

If separation of the ointment occurs, re-mix before use. Apply the ointment to the skin.

Adults, the elderly and children: Apply to the affected skin up to four times a day or at each nappy change.
If you accidentally swallow some see a doctor straight away.

What are the Possible side effects?

There are no known side effects from using Zinc & Castor Oil Ointment as directed. If you notice any side effects, stop use and tell your doctor or pharmacist. They will tell you what to do.
