DRY COUGH SUGAR FREE FORMULA

An oral liquid for the symptomatic relief dry or irritating coughs.

This product contains pholcodine monohydrate, which reduces the desire to cough. It relieves dry coughs which are without phlegm.

Things you must know before you use this medicine

Do not use the medicine if you or your child have….

  • An allergy to any of the ingredients.
  • Liver disease
  • Shallow breath or breathing difficulties
  • Chest problems or chest infections for along time
  • An asthma attack.
  • Taken MAOI’s (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) for depression within the last two weeks.
  • Ever developed a severe skin rash or skin that peels, blisters and/or sores in the mouth after taking this medicine or other related medicines.
  • Or your child is under 12 years old.

Possible side effects of Covonia Cough Syrup:

  • Dizziness
  • Stomach Pain
  • Drowsiness
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting

The active ingredient per 5ml: Pholcodine 5mg.

The other ingredients are: citric acid monohydrate (E330), sodium methyl, ethyl, propyl parahydroxybenzoates (E215, E217, E219), glycerol (E422), ethanol, amaranth dye (E123), saccharin sodium, carmellose sodium, menthol, condensed milk flavour, aniseed flavour and purified water.
