Things you must know before taking Panadol Extra Advance Tablets
Panadol Extra Advance Tablets are a popular pain relief solution that provides relief for various types of pain, including headaches, backaches, sore throats, rheumatic pain, fever, aches and pains associated with colds and flu, migraines, toothaches, and period pains. However, it is important to use these tablets as directed and read the label carefully to ensure safe usage. The tablets contain paracetamol which helps to alleviate pain.
Do not take Panadol Extra Advance Tablets if:
-

- have a severe infection as this may increase the risk of metabolic acidosis.
- deep, rapid, difficult breathing feeling sick (nausea), being sick (vomiting) loss of appetite
If you are taking other medicines
Interactions with other medicines can also pose a problem, and it is essential to speak with a doctor or pharmacist before taking Panadol Extra Advance Tablets. If you are taking prescribed medicines, particularly metoclopramide or domperidone, used for nausea or vomiting, or colestyramine, which lowers blood cholesterol, you should consult with your doctor or pharmacist. If you take blood-thinning drugs like anticoagulants, e.g., warfarin, and you need to take pain relievers daily, it is crucial to speak with your doctor because of the risk of bleeding. However, you can still take occasional doses of Panadol Extra Advance Tablets simultaneously with anticoagulants. It is also important to note that this product is not recommended if you are taking lithium.

Side effects
Most people taking these tablets find they cause them no problems. However, occasionally some people may get allergic reactions, such as skin rash. In all the years paracetamol has been used there have been very rare reports of blood disorders, but these were not necessarily caused by paracetamol. These effects should go away once you stop taking the medicine. If you are concerned about these effects, or if these tablets affect you in any other way, stop taking them and talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
