About rhinopharyngitis, commonly known as a cold
Rhinopharyngitis is a benign viral infection of the upper airways (nasal cavity, throat, sinuses) that mainly affects the nasal areas of the respiratory mucosa. More than 200 different types of viruses can cause rhinopharyngitis, with rhinoviruses and coronaviruses as the main culprits.
During a cold, viruses attack the mucosa of the nose and throat, causing inflammation of these areas. As a result, the irritated mucous membranes swell up, producing more mucous, with the risk of a bacterial secondary infection.
A cold is contagious and is generally transmitted by contact with the hands or through the air (sneezing and coughing).
What are the common symptoms of rhinopharyngitis?
Rhinopharyngitis usually starts with:
- The feeling of a blocked nose (nasal congestion)
- a runny nose
- sneezing
- a sore throat, and/or a cough;
- a general feeling of being unwell.

Recommendations and Dosage for use:
- Blow your nose, one nostril at a time.
- Shake the bottle before use.
- Remove the protective cover
- After first use and if necessary, perform at least one to three spray(s) to start the system, with the bottle upright and spray with the tip facing upwards.
- Hold the bottle upright and insert the tip into the nostril, head tilted slightly to the side of the nostril being sprayed.
- Spray twice, gently inhaling the second spray.
- Repeat the procedure in the other nostril.
- Leave the solution to act for a few minutes without wiping your nose.
- Allow excess solution to drain, then blow if necessary.
- Clean the tip in soapy water, rinse and dry before replacing the protective cap.
Dosage:
Two sprays into each nostril, up to six times a day. 120 sprays.
Ingredients
It is a hypertonic solution with 100% natural sea water, rich in minerals salts and marine trace elements, with added copper, which may help to prevent infections and cleansing essential oil of eucalyptus (globulus)
Side effects
Steroid nasal sprays do not usually cause any significant side effects if used correctly and at normal doses. Side effects can include: a stinging or burning sensation in the nose. dryness and crustiness in the nose.

Private prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery, free of charge (all private prescription items have a minimum order value of £5.00). NHS prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery.
