How SolpaOne 1000mg Soluble Paracetamol Tablets helps to relieve pain?
SolpaOne contains paracetamol. Paracetamol belongs to a group of medicines known as analgesics and antipyretics. They work by relieving mild to moderate pain.
Can I take SolpaOne Soluble Tablets if I am Pregnant or breast-Feeding?
If you are Pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. If necessary, SolpaOne effervescent Tablets can be used during pregnancy. You should use the lowest possible dose that reduces the pain and/or your fever and use it for the shortest time possible.
Is it suitable to Drive or operate machine after taking SolpaOne?
SolpaOne Soluble tablets have no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
How to take SolpaOne Soluble tablets:
This medicine is reserved for use in adults and in adolescents aged 16 years and above. SolpaOne Soluble Tablets are for oral administration and may be taken with or without food. Place the tablets in a full glass of water & allow it to completely dissolve then drink the solution straight away.
Adults and Adolescents (aged 16 years and above) weighing more than 50kg:
Take one tablet every 6 hours as needed, up to a maximum of 4 tablets per day.
SolpaOne 1000mg tablets are not suitable for children and adolescents below 16 years of age or weighing less than 50 kg.
If the Pain persists for more than 5 days or the fever lasts for more than 3 days, or gets worse then stop the treatment and consult the doctor.
Ingredients
Paracetamol 500mg and, soluble starch, polyvinylpyrrolidone, potassium sorbate (E202), maize starch, talc, magnesium stearate, stearic acid, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, macrogol and colours qunoline yellow (E104) erythrosine (E127) and titanium dioxide (E171).
Side effects
When using this product, you may experience:
Stop taking this medicine and tell your doctor immediately if you experience:
- severe abdominal pain, dry mouth, nausea and vomiting if you have recently had your gall bladder removed.
- Nervousness, dizziness, irritability, drowsiness or restlessness.
- Allergic reactions which may be severe such as skin rash and itching sometimes with swelling of the mouth or face or shortness of breath.
- Skin rash or peeling or mouth ulcers, itching or sweating.
- Nervousness, dizziness, irritability, drowsiness or restlessness.
- Breathing problems. These are more likely if you have experienced them before when taking other painkillers such as ibuprofen and aspirin.
- Unexplained bruising or bleeding.
- Nausea, upset stomach, sudden weight loss, loss of appetite and yellowing of the eyes and skin.
- Difficulty in urinating.
Like all medications, Solpadeine Max Soluble tablets can have side effects, however not everyone will experience these.
If you are concerned about any of these side effects or any other side effects, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not take SolpaOne Soluble tablets:
- If you have ever had an allergic reaction to paracetamol or to any of the other ingredients in this medicine (please see leaflet enclosed with your medicine).
- If you are taking other medicines containing paracetamol.
- If you are under 12 years.
- For pain relief in children and adolescents (0-18 years of age) after removal of their tonsils or adenoids due to obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome.
- If you know that you metabolise very rapidly codeine into morphine.
- If you are breastfeeding.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking SolpaOne Soluble tablets if you have:
- liver or kidney disease, including alcoholic liver disease.
- Bowel problems including blockage of your bowel.
- Had an operation to remove your gall bladder.
- Been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars.
- If you are on a controlled sodium diet. Each tablet contains 427 mg of sodium.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking these tablets if you are taking any prescribed medicines.
