Iglu Sugar Free Pastilles dissolve slowly to soothe the pain and discomfort caused by mouth ulcers and sores.
Iglu Sugar Free Pastilles contain two active ingredients, benzalkonium chloride solution and compound benzoin tincture. Between them, these ingredients have antiseptic properties, to help prevent infection and provide soothing relief as the pastille dissolves.
These pastilles ease discomfort and bring soothing relief to mouth ulcers and sore gums.
Ingredients
Benzalkonium chloride solution 0.094% v/w and compound benzoin tincture 0.75% v/w, sorbitol liquid (non crystallising), acacia, peppermint oil, simethicone antifoam, vegetable oil, beeswax.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Iglü Sugar Free Pastilles can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
If you have any unwanted side effects, you should seek advice from your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional.
On rare occasions, hypersensitivity reactions to benzalkonium chloride occur involving difficulty in breathing, swelling of the face, neck, tongue or throat and a rash (severe allergic reactions). Stop taking this medicine and seek urgent medical attention if you experience these symptoms. If you experience any other symptoms not mentioned, stop taking Iglü Sugar Free Pastilles and tell your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use Iglu Sugar Free Pastilles after the ‘Use by’ date (last day of the month) printed on the carton.
Iglu Sugar Free Pastilles do not require any special storage conditions.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste.
Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use.
These measures will help to protect the environment.
Warnings and precautions
Do not take Iglu Sugar Free Pastilles if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to benzalkonium chloride solution, compound benzoin tincture or any of the other ingredients in this medicine.
Do not give to children under 3 years.
It is unclear whether this product is safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The potential risks are unknown.
If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
Using this product is not known to affect your ability to drive or use machinery.
Iglu Sugar Free Pastilles contain a small amount of a sugar substitute called sorbitol. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to ingredients of this sort, discuss this with your doctor before taking this medicine.

Private prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery, free of charge (all private prescription items have a minimum order value of £5.00). NHS prescription medicines are sent by courier, tracked 24hr delivery.
Normal delivery charges will apply for non-prescription items in the same basket.
