About this service
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) allows GPs and Healthcare professionals to send prescriptions electronically to a pharmacy of the patient’s choice. This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for patients and staff.
Patients can collect repeat prescriptions from a pharmacy without visiting their GP, and won’t have a paper prescription to lose.

This service is available in England only with participating GPs.
Is there a charge for this service?
There is no fee for this service, you just pay the normal cost of your prescription.
If you usually pay for your NHS prescriptions, you will still need to pay the normal NHS fee – which is £9 per item. If you are exempt from this payment or have a pre-payment certificate, then you will not be charged. Just tell us when you register that you’re entitled to free NHS prescription medication.
How do I know if my GP is included?
Your GP must be based in England and using the the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS), a service provided by the NHS which means prescriptions are transmitted from your GP surgery to your nominated pharmacy electronically. This can often mean that patients can receive repeat prescriptions faster than if they were delivered by post, and is cost-effective, saving the NHS money.
Patients can nominate a preferred pharmacy where their electronic prescriptions will automatically be sent.

How long will it take for me to receive my prescription?
From placing your order, it can take up to 10 working days for your prescription to be fulfilled from our Medicine Marketplace Prescription Service known for Best Price Medicines In UK. For this reason, our service is not suitable for any prescriptions you may need straight away. Instead, ask your doctor for a paper prescription and take this to a local pharmacy so that they can dispense your medicine for you.
